  2.             DSMI/2 LICENCE AGREEMENT AND COPYRIGHT NOTICE
  3.                             COMMERCIAL OR NON-COMMERCIAL LICENCE

  5.     This licence only applies if it is signed by both you and
  6.     Julien Pierre, author of DSMI/2. 
  7.  
  8.         Digital Sound & Music Interface for OS/2 (hereafter DSMI/2) is protected by
  9.         US and international copyright laws. Making any copies of
  10.         it is considered a copyright violation with one exception. You
  11.         may take copies for archival purposes to protect your investment
  12.         from loss. You may not sell or give away this product.
  13.  
  14.         This licence guarantees you the right to use DSMI/2 in your
  15.     [ ] freeware
  16.     [ ] shareware
  17.     [ ] shareware sold by shareware company
  18.     [ ] commercial
  19.     software.
  20.  
  21.     This licence is valid for

  25.     Following restrictions apply :

  27.     If your software is fully functional (it is not a "limited" version) and
  28.     you don't charge for it (except for shipping and media), and you don't
  29.     make any kind of profit from it, it can be considered freeware.

  31.     If your software can be evaluated before buying and you only sell it
  32.     directly under your name, it is "shareware".
  33.  
  34.     If your software can be evaluated before buying and it is marketed by a
  35.     shareware company, it is "shareware sold by shareware company".
  36.  
  37.     In all other cases, your software is considered commercial.
  38.  
  39.         You may not distribute any of the source code included in the package
  40.     with your software. You are allowed to ship the DSMI/2 DLLs with your
  41.     product if you rename them (see the documentation for this).

  43.     You may not transfer your licence to use DSMI to anyone.

  45.     Before shipping any product with DSMI/2, you have to notify Julien Pierre
  46.     of the inclusion of DSMI/2 in it.

  48.     You do not have the right to ship development tools that would give other
  49.     programmers access to the DSMI/2 API without paying for the licence.

  51.     The example programs are for educational purposes only and may not be
  52.     sold or given away.

  54.         The included source code may be edited anyway you wish, but
  55.         original copyright notices must remain in the code.
  56.  
  57.         You are prohibited to disassembly or reverse-engineer the
  58.         code in this package.
  59.  
  60.         DSMI/2 is provided as is and author disclaims all other warranties
  61.         including but not limited to implied warranties of fitness for a
  62.         particular purpose.

  64.         In no event shall the author be liable for any loss of profit or
  65.         any other commercial damage, including but not limited to
  66.         special, incidental, consequential or other damages.

  68.     If you disagree with the terms of this licence agreement, you have to
  69.     delete all your copies of DSMI/2.
